2-Wire App Instructions

These instructions assume that your FERMVISION 2-Wire Video Intercom System is operating and functioning correctly. If it is not, please resolve any other issues first before adding the IP Module on to the system.

1. Setup IP Module (FVI-6025IP)

  • Power off the system and wire the IP Module in-between the power supply and the monitor as follows (don't change the provided dip switch settings);

      • For a multiple door setup refer to this image
      • For a multiple monitor setup without a branch controller refer to this image
      • For a multiple monitor setup with a branch controller refer to this image
    • Write down the 8 digit series number of the FVI-6025IP module as you will require this number to request the QR codes
    • Power on the system and wait for the flashing "Net" light to turn solid (this can take up to 10mins)

    2. Register Your Device

    • Complete the online registration form to receive your App device QR codes
    • Registration can take up to 4hrs (Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm AEST)
      • If the registration form is completed outside of business hours your QR codes will be sent the next business day
      • If you have requested more than 2 QR codes it may take a little longer to process your registration.

    3. Setup Monitor

    • Wake up the monitor by pressing on the LCD screen
    • If you have multiple monitors you only need to change the Call Scenario setting on the Master monitor (Address 00.01)
    • Click on Call Scenario and change the setting from Normal to either;
      • Divert, Simultaneously - To have the door station call the monitor first and then App after a couple of seconds.
        • If the monitor answers the call, the divert to App will cancel
        • Whilst diverting the call you may experience some slight degradation from normal of the video on the monitor. If you answer the call on the monitor, the video will return to normal.
        • If you have multiple monitors;
          • Slave monitors will need to be addressed Slave #1 - 0.11, Slave #2 - 0.21, Slave #3 - 0.31 (see attached for instructions)
          • All the slave monitors will ring but then will go black after a couple of seconds
          • Internal monitor to monitor calling will no longer function
      • Divert, If No Answer - If nobody answers the door station call on the monitor within 30s the call will be diverted to the App
        • If you have multiple monitors there is no need to change the address of the slave monitors from your current settings

    4. Setup App

    • Download the fermaxaus app from Google Play or app store
       

    • Once installed open the app 

    • Click "Allow" or "Accept" to all the notification boxes that pop up
    • At the welcome screen click the QR code

    • Scan the QR code provided during registration (point 2)
    • Wait for the device to be registered indicated by the green circle icon on the top left of the screen.

    • You may now close the app as it is setup correctly

    5. Answering a call on the Android App

    • Upon receiving a call from the door station you will be presented with the following screen. To answer the call press "Video" button.

    • During the call, the screen will look like the below.
    • The time required for audio to engage and video to appear depends on your system and devices network and internet connection. 
    • Audio communication and any door release commands can commence between the caller and callee before the video appears.

    •  To activate the door release and open the door type in to the keypad 1#

    6. Answering a call on the iPhone App

    • Upon receiving a call from the door station you will be presented with the following screen. To answer the call use the slide to answer bar.

    • During the call, the screen will look like the below.
    • The time required for audio to engage depends on your system and devices network and internet connection. 
    • Audio communication and any door release commands can commence between the caller and callee before or without video being engaged.

    • To engage the video click the "Video" button
    • The time required for the video to appear depends on your system and devices network and internet connection. 

     

    • Click the back arrow to bring up the menu such that you can select the keypad.

    • To activate the door release and open the door type in to the keypad 1#
